Florence was vibrant, exciting, lively and busy. People were everywhere, but unlike Venice, there was a mix of tourists and locals. The jumble of travellers and daily life allowed for a city that could cater to the needs across the board. The galleries and churches gathered the tourism while everything else felt worn in by the Florentians.
It was around this time that both Deb and I needed something that pasta and pizza could not satisfy. We looked around and eventually decided on Il Mandarino for some steamed fish, claypot tofu and fried rice. The meal wasn’t really a standout, but it was exactly what we needed.
On our last day, we stumbled across a market selling everything from fresh Italian produce to speciality Italian leather. Deb got herself a really nice leather bag. And I got myself some roast pork.
Oh wow, that porchetta looks amaaaaaaazing!
Crackling, fat, meat. YUM.
ALL the food groups!
Florence is one of my fav cities! Love its atmosphere! Nice shots you have posted in here! Kudos.
Thanks man! Yeh, I really liked it. It was definitely one of the top from the places I’d been in Italy. And I feel like I could go back and discover more that I hadn’t seen the first time round.
Looks like he was chopping up some of that fine pig when a bit flies into the girls eye.
Hahaha, that’s when you know you know the crackling is TOO crispy.
hahaha too late now!
